Waldo Zuiderveld (Factor & Ros) is the new Takeover Advisor of the Year. Taurus Corporate Finance dragged in the award of Takeover Firm of the Year in the Large category.
Waldo Zuiderveld of Factor & Ros was named Takeover Advisor of the Year last night during the Merger & Acquisition Annual Conference. This year, Zuiderveld supervised among others the sale of Westers ICT to Total ICT Solutions, Great Day to Dutch Staffing Group and Cfx to Rockstar Games. He himself also experienced a merger in 2023, as Factor Business Acquisitions merged with Ros Managementregie in Factor & Ros.
The award for Young Takeover Advisor of the Year went to Dennis de Vries of Alfa Consultants.
Lieke van Aarssen of Banning Avocaten is the new Takeover Lawyer of the Year. She advises companies on various corporate law issues, such as mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, private equity, joint ventures and other forms of cooperation.
Taurus Corporate Finance was named Acquisition Firm of the Year in the Large category. Taurus was praised for their knowledge, network and experience and achievement in deal making. In addition, the eastern consultancy firm is shirt sponsor of FC Twente this season.
In the Medium category, this year's Takeover Firm of the Year award went to FBM Corporate Finance. Notable in 2023 was the deal where four businesses were sold in one transaction to Quadrum Investment.
No Monkey Business won Takeover Firm of the Yearin the Small category. The advisory firm assists tech entrepreneurs with their dream exit. Owner Martijn van der Hoeden also has his own podcast since this year: Tech M&A Insider.
The award for Investment Company of the Year was won by MKB Fonds. MKB Fonds currently manages six funds with a total size of around EUR 100 million. The investee has already successfully completed 96 transactions and manages 17 participations across these funds.
The Merger & Acquisition Awards are an initiative of acquisition platforms Brookz and Dealsuite. A record number of over 300 advisers, acquisition firms and investment companies participated in this 9th edition of the Merger & Acquisition Awards this year. In total, more than 10,000 votes were cast by peers, clients and business associates.
