Brookz was founded by Peter Rikhof in 2007. After 20 years in paid employment, Peter had been looking for a business to take over since 2005. But he was disappointed. First of all, the information on many of the businesses on offer turned out to be incorrect. In addition, the offer was often no longer current. And finding a suitable adviser was also a crime: where to start, who was qualified, who could you trust?
Reason for starting a takeover platform in 2007 that a) provides practical information about buying or sell a business, b) has an up-to-date offer of businesses for sale and c) offers a network of reliable advisers. With the mission to make the SME takeover market as transparent as possible and to optimally support entrepreneurs in buying or selling their business.
Now, almost twenty years later, Brookz has become the largest acquisition platform in the Netherlands. The SME takeover market is rapidly professionalizing and Brookz has been one of the pioneers in this since 2007. In the coming years, we will further expand this central network function into a one-stop-shop for buyers and sellers of businesses.
