The business was founded by a highly experienced team consisting of a specialized entrepreneur and 3 pharma industry specialists from oncology and drug delivery. Together they bring 106 years of industry experience in drug delivery and manufacturing; clinical trials; start-ups and scale-ups; and international innovation management in pharma and chemical multinationals. The team has in-licensed a technology platform (globally, exclusively) from a pharmaceutical institute with very favorable conditions for an exit. Within 2 years, the team developed the first products based on three very well-known cancer drugs. These have now been successfully demonstrated for localized delivery to fight aggressive solid tumors, such as pancreatic, liver, lung and colon tumors and particular forms of breast, bladder and prostate cancers. Focusing on developing innovative cancer treatments, the business is raising investments to develop multiple product-market combinations through to the second clinical phase in-house. The products will be tested by clinical experts in various tumor diseases, while manufacturing will be done externally.
