An independently operating freight forwarder with a proven customer portfolio and stable business activities is sought. The business is active in freight forwarding, with an emphasis on European road transport. Additional modes - sea or air - are a plus but not a requirement.Important characteristics of the company sought:

• Active customer relations and a healthy order book.
• Own staff (1 - 10 FTE), preferably committed and experienced
• Independent operation, not dependent on one big customer
• Based in or directly around the Rotterdam / Rijnmond region.

Profile of the owner
The ideal candidate is an owner-manager who is ready for the next phase of life, mostly due to age or retirement planning. No business succession has been found within the family or incumbent management.

Owner is willing to cover a reasonable transition period - typically 6 to 24 months - so that customers, staff and network are transferred in a careful manner.
