From ambition to entrepreneurship: Orhan on his MBI journey at BANVO
Entrepreneurship in the accounting and administration sector requires guts, vision and the right guidance. Orhan now knows all about that. He recently started as an MBI candidate at a BANVO office after successfully completing the BANVO MBI process.
His first introduction to BANVO came naturally. "I was approached via LinkedIn by Claudia Broers. That was the starting point for contacting BANVO," Orhan says. What followed was a journey that he found to be extremely enjoyable.
"The whole MBI process was smooth, open and transparent," he explains. "That gave a lot of confidence from the beginning." For Orhan, BANVO 's involvement during the process was especially valuable. "I was regularly asked how the talks with the current owner were going and if everything was clear to me. That may sound obvious, but that attention and check-ins really make a difference. You're not alone."
What sets BANVO apart, according to Orhan, is the combination of economies of scale and independence. "BANVO is a large network where you get a lot of guidance and support, but at the same time your own office remains independent. That feels like the best of both worlds. From senior relationship manager to MBI candidate: Robbie on his journey within BANVO
Robbie's first introduction to BANVO came through LinkedIn. BANVO approached him for a senior relationship manager vacancy at RAAD Maastricht, immediately indicating that a future Management Buy-In (MBI) was among the possibilities. "During the first conversation with Jack Persoon and Wim Nix, there was already talk of a relatively quick process of about a year," Robbie says. "The click was there right away and the challenge immediately appealed to me. I therefore said yes to it with great enthusiasm."
On February 1, 2025, Robbie started at RAAD Maastricht. As with any MBI journey, it started with getting to know the firm, the clients and the team. "Of course I had to prove myself first, but that felt very logical and actually gave me the chance to show who I am and what I can do." That phase went well, as an important moment followed as early as July 2025: a meeting with Mark Boelens and Claudia Broers of BANVO, in which Robbie expressed his final "yes" to the MBI path without hesitation.
During the third and fourth quarters of 2025, the process continued and was successfully completed. Looking back, Robbie is particularly appreciative of the way the process was set up. "What I liked most was the clear communication and smooth process. There were no surprises or ambiguities. Everything went transparently and without problems. That gave me confidence that I had made the right decision."
According to Robbie, BANVO 's strength lies not only in the MBI process itself, but also in the position the network now holds in the marketplace. "BANVO is becoming an increasingly important player in administration land. With BANVO on your side, it is easier to tackle major challenges, such as the tight labor market and increasing digitalization.
