Nederlandse MKB Participatiemaatschappij is a private equity firm focused on Dutch SMEs. Based on our deployed strategy over the past years, the investment focus of Nederlandse MKB Participatiemaatschappij is focused on (family) businesses where the fund plays a role in the succession issue, businesses in growth sectors, acquisitions that strengthen SMEs.

Our investment horizon is focused on a period of 7 to 10 years. During this period, Nederlandse MKB Participatiemaatschappij supports its participations with growth capital. Nederlandse MKB Participatiemaatschappij is focused on value creation. A growth plan is drawn up for all participations in our portfolio. Together with the SME entrepreneur we look for new ways to further grow the SME.

Participation policy
The participation policy of the Nederlandse MKB Participatiemaatschappij focuses on the long term. It strives for maximum value creation and growth for the shareholders and its loan capital providers. The starting point is to improve the solvency and profitability of the SME.

Nederlandse MKB Participatiemaatschappij supports its participations with knowledge and capital to let the MKB company excel and also take a larger market position. This with a view to the continuity of the SME company. The primary objective of Nederlandse MKB Participatiemaatschapij is to keep its participations in its portfolio for an indefinite period of time.

Criteria of the MKB participations in the funds

  • Its headquarters and management are based in the Netherlands.
  • Management is willing to participate.
  • The bond fund investment per SME ranges from € 375,000 to € 2,000,000 and the total transaction amount per SME is minimum € 1,000,000 to maximum € 5,000,000.
  • The EBITA of the SME in the most recent financial year is at least € 200,000.
  • The SME company's solvency ratio is at least 35%.
  • The SME has been active for at least five years.
  • The bond fund excludes the following sectors: agriculture and fisheries, hospitality and construction. Also, the bond fund does not participate in startups (start-up SMEs with a negative cash flow and/or virtually no revenue and profit).
