Description

Visma increases market share in education by acquiring Datapas

About Visma and Datapas

Visma, European leader in cloud software, acquires Datapas. Datapas provides planning, control and monitoring software for education. To realize its growth ambitions, the Haarlem software company will collaborate with other Visma companies serving the education sector.

About Datapas

The cloud solutions of Datapas support school boards in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, strategic personnel planning, student forecasts and reporting on these as efficiently as possible. Datapas links with HR and financial software, but also with specific educational applications and systems of organizations such as Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO) and Statistics Netherlands (CBS).

Maarten Vissers, founder and director of Datapas: "Visma has started to focus more on the education sector. For us it is attractive to join now so that we can start collaborations with Visma companies that support education. I see a lot of future in that. In addition, we benefit from the knowledge within Visma in areas such as operations, marketing and sales."

Datapas will continue to operate under its own name and with the current team of 20 employees as an independent unit within the Visma Group. However, it will collaborate with businesses that form the Visma Connected Experience for education. This is a program where Visma companies collaborate with educational institutions and education agencies on well-secured integrated cloud solutions for future-oriented business and education logistics. Agreements with customers remain unchanged.
