Software provider Health Cloud Initiative (HCI) acquires Pharmeon

Description

Pharmeon, developer the Uw Zorg online platform from Amsterdam, becomes part of Health Cloud Initiative.

Pharmeon's affiliation is another step in Health Cloud Initiative's dream to improve healthcare in the Netherlands. The addition is part of a buy-and-build strategy and follows previous acquisitions by HCI.

About Pharmeon

Founded in 2000, Pharmeon offers websites, portals or a combination of these to primary care providers. As of today, Pharmeon's current customer base consists mainly of general practitioners, pharmacies, dentists and paramedics. The software helps healthcare providers schedule appointments and maintain patient records. In addition to websites and portals, Pharmeon offers the "Your Care Online" environment as a product, with which the healthcare provider can offer online care to patients.

About HCI

Health Cloud Initiative was created as a combination of software labels of GGZ, Incura and CRS, with the idea that joining forces of different software labels for the GGZ and paramedical care will lead to further innovation power. This additional innovative power will lead to maximum relief of care providers. To achieve this, practice and patient software per market segment will be combined with services (appointment scheduling, claims, etc.) across market segments. Health cloud iniative is a platform investment of Vortex Capital partners.

BDO M&A and BDO Legal guided the transaction by performing the financial, tax and employment law due diligence. BDO Debt Advisory assisted Vortex Capital Partners and Health Cloud Initiative in obtaining the transaction financing.
