Uniper has reached an agreement with Spanish energy company Enagas to sell its 20% stake in Dutch BBL Company V.O.F., owner of a 235-kilometer gas pipeline between the UK and the Netherlands.
The subsea gas pipeline has a maximum capacity of 15 bcm/y of direct flow between Balgzand in the Netherlands and Bacton in the UK and 5 bcm/y in the opposite direction. Divestment of this non-strategic stake is part of Uniper's requirements under EU state aid legislation.
