BDO assists in acquisition of Veenstra & Stroeve by Antea

Description

Antea, together with the management team and a co-investor, has acquired Veenstra & Stroeve, producer of prefabricated roofs, dormers and stone strip walls, in Assen.

Sellers were the two DGAs of this construction supplier they founded in 2006, Anton Veenstra and Marcel Stroeve. They will stop managing this business.

Management will be taken over by a triumvirate consisting of Jos van der Laan (managing director), Eelke Brink (operations director) and Ferdy Oostveen (technical director). Jos van der Laan (51 years old) comes from Albo Deuren where he was general manager for the last 7 years. He has extensive experience in commercial and general management at suppliers to the construction industry. Eelke Brink (39) has worked at Veenstra & Stroeve for 14 years. Ferdy Oostveen (41 years) previously worked at Veenstra & Stroeve and was most recently operations manager at a competing company.

Jos, Eelke and Ferdy, together with Antea, have become shareholders in Veenstra & Stroeve. The fourth shareholder is a co-investor. Given the size of the transaction, Antea has found one of its participants coming from the construction sector willing to act as co-investor. Antea's stake amounts to 51%.
