FM Group B.V. ('Fleurametz') realizes a new financing arrangement to support its growth strategy.

Fleurametz is a worldwide wholesaler in flowers and plants and with a revenue of approximately € 500 million one of the larger players in the Dutch and thus worldwide market of flowers and plants.

Growth potential

In recent years, Fleurametz has experienced strong growth both organically and through various acquisitions. With the refinancing of current debt as well as a financing extension, the company's financing structure is simplified and a longer-term commitment is created to support Fleurametz's future growth and strategy.

Unusual wishes

The financing was provided by Deutsche Bank and ING Bank and has competitive terms and rates. BDO Debt Advisory & Financial Restructuring has assisted Fleurametz in the financing process.

The usual solution is then to create a syndicate, but this just didn't feel right for a trading company like FM Group. We see banks as partners, but it is still important to be able to keep each other on our toes, and FM Group also wants to be able to continue playing the trading game with financial (trading) partners. Although the desire was unusual even for BDO Debt Advisory, we have been well supported in bringing a second bank on board, which has not been given a syndication role in the process, but is competitive in financing part of FM Group."
