This business switched from real estate to renewable energy in 2002. They developed several projects, including the first large-scale wind farm in Russia (201 MW) near Murmansk. After handling project development and financing, the project was sold and the company briefly stayed involved as an adviser. Since 2022, the business has been fully retired.
Required capital: € 1,000,000.
Growth forecast
Due to the war with Russia, Ukraine has lost about 60% of its energy production capacity in the last three years. This has created a huge scarcity of electricity. Current wholesale electricity prices in Ukraine are two to three times higher than in neighboring countries. Thus, this company is interested in a project plan with a capacity of 120-140 MW. The ridges of the Carpathian Mountains, towards Romania, have a more than adequate wind regime at 7.1 m/s. An option to buy/lease the land has already been concluded. There is also a usable grid connection 14 km away. The phase now underway is plan development with much drawing and calculation work, park layout ideas, micro-siting and obtaining building permits.
