Developer web apps education

Founded 9 years ago, the business has focused on developing web apps for high schools since 2022. The client in this is a large and established school organization. In 2023, the workload of other business activities became so great that a development hub abroad was engaged for the software development. The owner maintains daily contact with the hub (30 min) to brief and monitor the work.

Details
The written software is sold in fixed components, creating a fixed income per month. The schools organization has limited rights to the source code, which creates an open nature and increases persuasiveness. The organization used to "leak" a lot of money into expensive licensing models. It now has the vision to develop software with a partner. The business has become this partner. Since there are only 2 apps in development now, this is only the starting point. The apps can also be sold outside the school organization.

Business activities
The business develops simple web-based apps to which students and teachers log in with their school account (SSO). Activities include:

• Software development:
  Continuously adjusting web apps based on feedback and own insights
• Maintenance & support:
  24/7 accessibility call center to report incidents. Fixing bugs and incidents and providing support when creating an Azure app
• Infrastructure:
  Hosting the apps for all schools and automatic deployments.
