Match Plan assists The Sunshine in sale to Kids Lodge

Match Plan has assisted the shareholders of children's center Het Zonnetje in the sale of 100% of the shares. This to its new owner Kids Lodge, withHolland Capitalas investment company behind it since September 2021.

About Het Zonnetje

Het Zonnetje, located in Houten, is a family business founded in 1988 by Mrs. Prick van Wely - Godefrooy. The original childcare business originated from her passion for working with children, which together with the (in-law) daughters quickly grew into a mini daycare center. In 2003 it was fully transferred to her daughters (in law), who have brought Het Zonnetje to where it is today. Het Zonnetje currently has 244 child places divided into 96 child places for the KDV and 148 child places for the BSO. Het Zonnetje is a childcare organization where parents, children and staff feel at home and bask in the warmth of the company's sunshine.

About Kids Lodge

Kids Lodge was founded in 2009 and provides care to approximately 1,250 children aged 0 to 12 years with a team of more than 260 employees. Besides childcare, Kids Lodge also offers a Party Lodge, Sports Lodge and Family Lodge to establish itself as a family center as well. With locations in Houten, IJsselstein, Zeist and Bunnik Kids Lodge is a well-known name in the Utrecht region.

Role of Match Plan

Match Plan has assisted and advised the shareholders of Het Zonnetje during the entire process. Among other things, we helped with:

• Preparing a valuation of the business; and
• We assisted in the entire sale process from A to Z, i.e. from drafting the information memorandum, approaching parties, supervising the due diligence to drafting the transaction documentation.
