Alpaca Loca continues growth under Belgian flag

Alpaca Loca continues growth under Belgian flag

Description

While working as a flight attendant, Annemarie Lucassen came into contact with a supplier of alpaca wool scarves in South America. Initially she took a few with her to the Netherlands, which soon found their way to friends and family.

After the first "trial" items there was so much demand that Annemarie soon had official shipments coming in with more and more scarves. This eventually led to the creation of Alpaca Loca.

In the years that followed, Alpaca Loca developed into a leading supplier of alpaca wool scarves and plaids within the Benelux. With a strong network of suppliers and a distinctive product range, the business was able to build a solid position in the market.

Due to the continued growth of the company and the desire of the founder to focus on other activities, it was decided to sell Alpaca Loca.

Company Brokers was called in to assist in this process and has successfully found a suitable takeover candidate that perfectly matches the activities and ambitions of Alpaca Loca. The new owner has a strong market position in Belgium, France and Germany and thus offers a solid basis for further international growth. All current employees will remain involved in the company, while management will from now on take place from Belgium.

"It was an intensive and exciting process," says Annemarie. "We received excellent guidance throughout the process from Company Brokers, who supported us professionally at every step."
