Marktlink Mergers & Acquisitions mediates in acquisition of P. de Vries Installatietechnieken by VDK Groep

The VDK Groep B.V. from Zwolle has, after careful preparation, taken over the shares of P. de Vries Installatietechnieken B.V. from Leeuwarden from owners Johan and Mathilde Meijer. This was announced today by intermediary Marktlink Fusies & Overnames from Drachten.

P. de Vries Installatietechnieken B.V. of Leeuwarden is a medium-sized installation company with approximately 100 employees and has existed for more than 90 years. P. de Vries Installatietechnieken B.V. is a renowned player in Leeuwarden and the surrounding area and provides electrical and mechanical installations. It has also developed into a high-quality player in sustainable innovations, such as heat pumps, LED lighting, PV panels and IR panels. The business also has a specialized department for electronic security.

Johan and Mathilde Meijer took over the business in 1992 from their father Klaas Meijer. The confidence that within the VDK Groep they could continue to operate as an independent company while retaining their name and identity was an important criterion for the brother and sister to sell the business through broker Marktlink Fusies & Overnames to the VDK Groep of owner Frans van der Kolk.

VDK Groep does not rule out several acquisitions within the installation sector. Van der Kolk: 'The laws and regulations are becoming increasingly complex for businesses and the complexity of technical installations is increasing. As an independent regional installation company, these developments are difficult to keep up with. Also, businesses increasingly need a total approach, in which electrical engineering, ICT, security and HVAC are offered in an integrated way. VDK Groep has all these areas of expertise in house. In addition, the businesses within the VDK Groep are supported in their business operations, which are becoming increasingly complex, so that the businesses can continue to focus on their core activities.

P. de Vries Installatietechnieken B.V. will continue to operate from their location in Leeuwarden and Jeroen van der Geest will remain general manager. Johan Meijer: 'With the VDK group a party has been found with the same DNA, an important condition for this step.'
