Serial entrepreneur and investor Marcel Muller has taken over the activities of Hegin and Hegin Metalfinishing from Heerde with his business BESQ Group. The entrepreneur was accompanied during the process by M&A adviser Marktlink Mergers & Acquisitions. Hegin is a metal surface finishing company and will remain located on Europaweg in Heerde.

About Hegin

The Hegin company had been under the leadership of Kees Hoogink since 1984 where he started as a manager and then acquired the companies' shares in 1998. After the fire in 2014, the reconstruction opted for more specific activities in metal surface treatments, which enabled Kees Hoogink to ensure the highest quality and efficiency, and thus the future of the company. The company specializes in six activities: chemical nickel plating, stainless steel operations, anodizing, galvanizing, conversion operations and clean room operations. About Marcel Muller

Marcel Muller grew up in an entrepreneurial family and, after a career as an investment banker at ABN AMRO, acquired Aquative B.V. in 2013. Under his leadership, the business has shown nice growth and sooner than expected he was approached for a possible sale. This deal closed in mid-2020, after which, with the help of Marktlink, he started looking for a new business in the technical sector, where the knowledge and experience of the ambitious entrepreneur would come into its own. In his career, Marcel Muller has always had an entrepreneurial and commercial spirit, both in employment, and within his own company. The experienced entrepreneur now wants to use his commercial and management qualities at the business in Heerde. BESQ Group focuses on acquisitions of manufacturing and trading companies in the Netherlands and expects to make more acquisitions in the coming years and to form a specialized group of companies.
