Mazars advises one of the shareholders of Vrieling Adviesgroep on sale minority stake to Wadinko.
Vrieling Adviesgroep BV is a large and renowned financial services provider in the east of the country with over 240 employees. The sale of the minority stake will enable Vrieling Adviesgroep to invest in a sound and realistic growth strategy for the coming years. In this way, an important impulse can be given to the growth of high-quality employment in a region with a predominantly manufacturing industry.
Jasper Vrieling, commercial director at Vrieling: Looking at the insurance market in the Netherlands in which we operate, we see that consolidation is in full swing. We want to remain independent and especially the larger intermediaries like Vrieling are very interesting for insurers because of their scale and their strong customer relationships. The expectation is that parties like Vrieling will gain even more importance as an extremely effective advisory channel in the coming years. The ambition to grow our revenue in the coming years is therefore realistic. In Wadinko we have found an enterprising and inspiring partner to help us shape that growth."
Han Leemhuis, Investment manager Wadinko sees plenty of opportunities and possibilities for Vrieling. "The coming years will be dominated by further development and growth. The risk capital that will become available with our participation will be used for that, among other things. Think of investments in more and better automation, steering more on big data and repositioning Vrieling's products and services for more risk diversification. Wadinko is confident that Vrieling will succeed in this transition and that this will enable the full potential of the financial services provider to be utilized. Which should ultimately result in the growth of high-quality employment in a region with a predominantly manufacturing industry. And that while maintaining the culture and social relevance that has always characterized Vrieling."
Aron de Jong of Mazars Financial advisory advised the selling shareholder of Vrieling Adviesgroep on the transaction.
