VADO expands position in food industry with acquisition of Orangeworks

Investment company VADO Beheer Beheer acquires Orangeworks from Oss.

Orangeworks develops and produces high-quality process installations and production equipment for numerous renowned FMCG producers worldwide. VADO thus further expands its position in mechanical engineering for the food industry.

Orangeworks was founded in 1970 (formerly Staalwerk Mill) and in recent decades has grown into a high-quality supplier of process technology and industrial automation for market leaders in the chocolate & confectionery industry. In 2020, Tanis Food Tec was acquired. Orangeworks and Tanis Food Tec have built a strong international position in this market as a partner for sweet & confectionery, chocolate & cocoa and the bakery industry. Orangeworks expects to achieve revenues of over €40 million in 2022. Koen Verstegen, CEO Orangeworks, and Mirjam van Dijk, CCO Orangeworks and Managing Director of Tanis Food Tec, will both become co-shareholders and together form the new management board.

VADO is a long-term investor and focuses on promising businesses in the manufacturing industry and has participations active in high-tech & semicon, food & pharma, automotive & (intra)logistics and in the field of energy & energy transition, among others. Together, these VADO businesses have a wide range of competencies to provide clients with high-level integral support. Orangeworks is an important expansion in the food industry segment in which VADO is already active with, among others, Verhoeven Family of Companies, also based in Oss.
