The shareholders Jan Willem Lahuis of LABEKO BV and Roeland Reef of AGAR Holding BV have reached agreement on acquisition of LABEKO by AGAR Holding.
LABEKO and AGAR Holding are both traditionally pioneers in the concrete mortar business.
LABEKO BV located at Koudekerk aan den Rijn, consists among others of the operating companies BCK: Betonmortel Centrale Koudekerk, ENBO: Eerste Nederlandse Bulk Overslag and CEMBELA. The activities focus on the production of concrete mortar, international bulk transshipment with mobile installations and CEMBELA is the only importer in the Netherlands of gray cement by sea instead of by inland ship or by axle.
This family business has no succession opportunity from the family and/or business in the near future. In order for the business to remain successful and retain its own identity, joining the family business AGAR Holding with 45 employees is a desirable step.
The management of these businesses will continue to be conducted by Jan Willem Lahuis and, in particular for the concrete activities, by Roald van der Wal.
AGAR Holding BV based in Hengelo (O) includes Betoncentrale Twenthe, Betoncentrale Drenthe, Betoncentrale Nederrijn, Betoncentrale Eemsmond, Betoncentrale Diamant, Remix Droge Mortel, Zandmaatschappij Twenthe, Orion Beton, Diamant Beton and Betonpompbedrijf Nijwa. Together they supply a total package of products and services in the field of concrete mortar, dry mortar, concrete products and sand/gravel throughout the Netherlands.
Affiliated businesses are Reef Quarzsandwerke in Germany and Clubb Concrete, Clubb Sand & Gravel and Remix Dry Mortar in England. In addition, AGAR Holding has holdings in Netterden Holding and Oosterweilanden.
For AGAR Holding the acquisition of LABEKO is a strategically valuable expansion of its portfolio. This applies both internationally, particularly to the affiliated English business activities, but also in the Green Heart.
Factor & Ros acted as adviser to AGAR Holding.
