Hooijer Footwear Group has acquired the shares of Amani (brand name: Lazamani). Lazamani is a globally established name in the footwear industry. Through the acquisition Hooijer Footwear Group strengthens its position and increases its volume. Hooijer Footwear Group has the logistical and marketing resources to further grow Lazamani. The owners of Lazamani have been saying to each other for years, "Should a day come when we want to sell it, Hooijer is the only one we will allow and entrust Lazamani to."
Hooijer Footwear Group (www.hooijergroep.nl) and Lazamani (www.lazamani.nl) are both active in the footwear industry. The owners of both businesses have long been familiar with each other, making it a considered decision that Lazamani would be continued by Hooijer Footwear Group.
The Lazamani brand has grown over the years into a distinctive women's footwear brand with a focus on flip-flops, sandals, winter boots and booties. Lazamani's collections are strong because of their recognizability and good value for money. Due to the death of one of the owners, talks around the takeover started. Because there was no succession within the family or company, it was decided to investigate the latent desire to bring Lazamani under Hooijer Footwear Group.
Hooijer Footwear Group is an importer and distributor of various shoe brands for the Benelux and of a number of brands also for the European market. In addition, Hooijer Footwear Group owns a number of its own brands. With the acquisition of Lazamani, Hooijer Footwear Group strengthens its market position in the 'own brands strategy' and further expands its product portfolio. With the services Hooijer Footwear Group has in house, the Lazamani brand will be taken to the next growth phase.
