FuiteVeal (part of Fuite Groep) took over slaughterhouse Beernink in Oldenzaal from the Beernink brothers. Fuite Groep already had its own deboning plant at its disposal, and with the takeover they now have the entire veal chain under their own control.
Slachterij Beernink was started in 1978 by the Beernink brothers, who formed the management until the time of the takeover. Over the years, the business has grown into a medium-sized slaughterhouse, which now has a slaughtering capacity of 1,500 calves per week. The acquisition of the slaughterhouse in Oldenzaal fits into the vision of the FuiteVeal family business to have all steps in the chain under its own control.
In the past Fuite Groep bought a slaughterhouse in Tubbergen, Twente, with the aim of completing the chain. Due to the limited capacity and proximity to a residential area, slaughtering at this location stopped within a year. With the acquisition of Slachterij Beernink, Fuite Groep still has its desired slaughterhouse and thus has all steps in the chain (from calf farming to boning) under its own control.
Factor Bedrijfsovernames acted throughout the entire process (from analysis of the sales object, via consultation rounds with several suitable buyers to negotiations on contractual price and conditions) as adviser on behalf of sellers: Messrs Gerard Beernink & Jos Beernink.
