Aura Peeperkorn, active as an importer and wholesaler of antiques, lighting and seating furniture since 1996 has been acquired by Frieda Dorresteijn interieurs.
Aura Peeperkorn Interiors supplies stores, architects and stylists under its own brand name. The business has an extensive collection of seating, unique antique pieces, atmospheric lighting and stunning accessories in a changing and ever-renewing range imported from China, Indonesia and India.
Due to age and lack of succession, Michelle van Deurzen, DGA of Aura Peeperkorn, decided to sell her business to a party that matched her and the company's philosophy.
Guidance Factor
Factor Business Acquisitions was asked to advise and search for a buyer for the business. After performing a valuation and preparing an information memorandum, Factor approached several parties who were interested in the business. Factor supervised these discussions and advised where necessary.
It was important to Michelle that the buyer could continue the style and look of Aura in her mind, and in Frieda Dorresteijn's business, the she found the right partner. Frieda was already a customer of Aura Peeperkorn so she had experience with the brand and fit perfectly into the picture of the ideal buyer for Aura Peeperkorn.
