De Jong & Laan assisted Denkavit with the proposed acquisition of FrieslandCampina's Nutrifeed animal nutrition business and the conclusion of a long-term agreement for the supply of dairy by-products to the animal nutrition industry. The dairy by-products that FrieslandCampina will supply are by-products from food production.

Denkavit is a family business that has been in existence for over 80 years. The business specializes in young animal nutrition and has acquired a leading market position in this area. With a revenue of € 650 million and over 600 employees, the company operates worldwide and has offices in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the United States.

De Jong & Laan guided the Denkavit management during the acquisition process of this inter-national carve-out. By acquiring Nutrifeed, Denkavit strengthens its role as an inter-national leading player in the young animal nutrition market. In addition, a long-term agreement has been reached between FrieslandCam-pina and Denkavit regarding the supply of dairy by-products.
