DHW Corporate Finance Finance has assisted Ron and Marco Schumacher of Marron Jachtbouw of Medemblik in a sale process of a majority stake to HS Steel of Breukelen.

The company
HS Steel has taken a majority stake in superyacht builder Marron.

Remaining shares remained in possession of the original shareholders.
Marron Jachtbouw has specialized in yacht building since 1997. After initially focusing and emphasizing on sloop building, but also on various interiors, they gradually made the switch to the manufacture of prefab teak decks, teak capping rails (pot covers) and the manufacture of prefab ceiling (exterior ceilings). Since 6 years Marron Jachtbouw is owner and founder of the brand Eco-Deck.
This has created an excellent complement in view of the ever-increasing need of artificial-teak application; in various locations such as luxury yachts and cruise ships. Their portfolio includes renowned clients such as Hakvoort, ICON Yachts, Royal van Lent and Oceanco.

The transaction
DHW Corporate Finance assisted the Sellers in all aspects of the sale process to HS Steel. The work included supervising the negotiations, calculating the various sales scenarios and coordinating the due diligence carried out by the Buyer as well as checking and elaborating on the documentation and contracts drawn up.
