EIFFEL acquires service provider GemVast

Description

Consultancy and projects agency EIFFEL has acquired GemVast. GemVast unburdens government agencies in dealing with improper land and water use, also known as snippet green and snipper blue.

This is not unknown territory for EIFFEL: the service provider from Arnhem has also successfully added this expertise to its portfolio for a long time. The acquisition further strengthens EIFFEL's product offering for (local) governments.

According to Ellen de Jonge, business unit director Land Use & Real Estate, this acquisition shows EIFFEL's ambitions. 'We have been the market leader in the field of improper land use for years. By acquiring GemVast, we are strengthening that position: our market share is growing, as is the number of regions we serve. Moreover, GemVast's approach is complementary to ours, with specialists adding a new background or expertise to our team. Our customers now get the best of both worlds.'

Perfect match

Linda Zwinkels and Robert van Kooperen started GemVast in 2014. 'We saw an opportunity in the market and seized it. Over the years, we grew to a position as a specialist in improper land and water use, with people who all excel in communication. EIFFEL, on the other hand, has a great deal of legal knowledge. This acquisition actually creates the perfect match.'

Linda and Robert will continue in social real estate, the rest of the team will transfer to EIFFEL. Linda: 'The transition of the team to EIFFEL gives us a good feeling and was decisive for us. They will soon bring in our own method and get the chance to develop themselves even further in a large, dynamic community.
