On behalf of Claassen, Moolenbeek & Partners, partners Wim Hulstein and Jan-Paul Kiefmann successfully managed the acquisition of Heilijgers BV by Klok Holding. Heilijgers (100 employees, revenue 2020 € 70M) was acquired on August 30 by the family-owned company Klok Holding (250 employees, revenue 2020 € 243M).
The entire sales process was supervised from start to finish by Wim and Jan-Paul. They dealt with all aspects of the process:
Rob Jansen & Arjan van Asselt (DGAs Heilijgers): 'Wim and Jan-Paul managed that process very well. We are very satisfied with the result, as is Klok Group'.
The initiative for the takeover lay with the shareholders of the selling party: Heilijgers.
'This deal came about because there are many similarities strategically, we are a seamless fit geographically and in terms of culture we expect a very good match' said Ton van de Klok (CEO Klok Holding): 'With this acquisition we not only strengthen our position on the Dutch market, we now also have better access to the West of the Netherlands'. Arjan van Asselt (Director/shareholder Heilijgers) underlines the good combination: 'Klok is a solid family business and is constantly working on innovations, their experience center 'Liv' is a good example of this: a living experience center containing 4 life-size houses in different styles. These are good starting points for further strengthening and growing the position of Heilijgers.
Rob Jansen (Director/shareholder Heilijgers) looks back on a hectic and successful process. "There is a lot involved in an acquisition process. Because we are a project business, we have to work carefully. Wim and Jan-Paul managed the acquisition process very well.
