Weighpack (www.weighpack.nl) is an international specialist in the development, production and installation of complete packaging lines for technical products. The business has a strong innovative character and distinguishes itself in offering total solutions for the hardware packaging industry. Products are sold in more than 45 countries around the world.

Weighpack was founded in 1974 by Dries Kout, who is now stepping down after 45 years and has transferred the shares to his successor Simon Rijke.

MANAGEMENT BUY-IN

Simon himself has gained broad experience in the packaging industry, particularly in packaging for the pharmaceutical industry. In various end-responsible positions there, he has worked at medium-sized businesses to larger corporates.

Through BuyInside, Simon was put in touch with Weighpack, which at the time was not for sale. The owner's latent need for a succession and the click between Simon and owner Dries Kout ensured that decisions could be made and that the business could now grow to a stronger international position via an acquisition.
