VAN DAM'S BRUSH FACTORY
A family business since 1928 and the last Dutch brush factory, now time for a new owner. Van Dam´s Kwastenfabriek was handed over to John Feimann with great confidence as of July 1.
With the sale of Van Dam's Kwastenfabriek, Peter van Dam and Piet van Erp, as former owners, want to ensure the continuity of the business for the future. During the search for a takeover candidate, it was crucial that the candidate recognized and appreciated the unique characteristics of this family business.
Piet and Peter: "In John we have found a new owner who will continue Dan Dam's Kwastenfabriek in line with our philosophy. in addition, we see in him the ideal person to take advantage of the opportunities and challenges in the right way."
Once started as a pharmacist, John has held managerial positions in various sectors -from healthcare to Retail-, both operational and commercial, at national and international businesses. As the son of entrepreneurs, he has always had the desire to run his own business.
John: "From the moment i walked into the company, i was touched by the atmosphere, the passion and drive of the employees and the warm family culture. i strongly believe in production in the Netherlands. the combination of carrying the own brand Goudhaantje® and the beautiful private labels, makes this only remaining brush factory in the Netherlands a strong business."
Van Dam's Kwastenfabriek has been active in Culemborg since 1928 and has always distinguished itself by maintaining an eye for a high-quality product, close contact with its customers and stable employment in the region. For the coming years, a strong drive for sustainability has been added to this. producing brushes locally and continuing to reduce our "carbon footprint" are important factors in this. Piet van Erp will stay on as co-director for the next few years. This guarantees a solid transfer for the customers. Peter van Dam will take his leave. His dedication and warm involvement will be missed.
