VAN BILSEN GROUP

Frans Maarse has realized a participation (MBI) in the Van Bilsen Groep through BuyInside. Van Bilsen is a metal processing business that processes products in various markets, such as the hydraulic industry, offshore, bridge building and automotive. The group has 3 branches and around 100 employees. The Van Bilsen Group consists of two businesses that have existed for many years: VBG International and Van Bilsen Metaalindustrie. The Group is focused on long-term, regularly recurring complex product operations. This involves a high degree of automation and sharp quality control. Besides that, the focus is on project-related product operations, where the emphasis lies on the speed of delivery and where craftsmanship and flexibility have a lot of added value for the customer.

MANAGEMENT BUY-IN

Participation

Through an MBI construction, Frans Maarse entered Van Bilsen as a co-shareholder. BuyInside approached this business directly through an active search. Sale was not directly on the agenda, but the profile and added value of Frans, were so welcome, that they were eager to discuss a joining. BuyInside then assisted Frans in further negotiations and completion of the transaction.

MBI CANDIDATE

Frans Maarse will take his place in the board as CEO, alongside the already present other 3 shareholders. Frans has a technical commercial background and broad international experience gained in CEO/MD and COO roles at Philips, Mitsubishi, ASML and RAVAS, among others. As co-entrepreneur, he will build on the further growth of the Van Bilsen Group in the coming years, where Frans will initially focus on strengthening the commercial position of the group and further professionalizing the organization.
