Bomacon B.V., with over 20 employees, specializes in large machining operations and the manufacture of machine parts, machines and various constructions. This business mills and turns medium to very large products using CNC milling and turning machines. In addition, the construction department offers the possibility to assemble, machine and/or further assemble welded assemblies completely according to the customer's wishes. Bomacon distinguishes itself by providing craftsmanship and relieving customers of their concerns by offering a total package.

Ton came into contact with Bomacon's adviser through BuyInside. After good initial discussions and immediate click with owner Pieter Boots, BuyInside further advised Ton in the negotiations, financing and final acquisition, which was realized within 5 months after the first meeting.

MBI CANDIDATE

Ton (42 yr) has an extensive background in the B2B manufacturing industry in machining and machine building. After 10 years in the aerospace industry (Jamo Precision Components: new part manufacturing of aircraft engine parts) followed by several years at Roosen Industries (high end machining for medical, defense and customer-specific machine building) and some interim work at Kuhn (machine building for agriculture) he thought the time was ripe to actually take the step to self-employment.

Ton: "Having grown up in a farmer's family where tackling / helping out and taking initiative is commonplace, I have always had the desire to one day start for myself.

Furthermore, I felt that by working at another business I would learn more in a short period of time than if I had started directly for myself. With them, I always acted and committed myself from the perspective of "what would be best for the business; what would I do, if it were mine." Because of this mentality and commitment, I have been given and also taken various opportunities/challenges to be able to take another step every time."
