Business & Support - BKC Boeters Ketel Constructie B.V.

Description

BKC Boeters Ketel Constructie B.V. (BKC) is a family-owned business founded in 1938 that has been led by Rob Boeters, the third generation of the family, since 2000. The business specializes in manufacturing hot-water and low-pressure steam boilers, which are primarily used in the global greenhouse horticulture industry.

The sale of the business was based on two factors. First, a strategic consideration related to market developments; and second, the current CEO had no successor within the family.

Buyer
The shares of BKC were sold to Groeneveld Exploitatie B.V., a family-owned business run by the Groeneveld family of Boskoop. This company is active in the construction of storage tanks for horticulture and industry. After years of collaboration between BKC and Groeneveld, the acquisition was a logical strategic step for them, strengthening their competitive position in the market. The acquisition of BKC shares will be carried out in phases over the coming years. Boeters will continue to manage BKC during this phased process.

Business & Support provided strategic advice and guidance to BKC’s shareholder in completing this transaction, which was finalized on December 20, 2018.
