Baker Tilly Corporate Finance assists in sale of M&O Techniek

As of October 1, 2021, family business M&O Techniek from Wormer belongs to the Van Losser Installation Group. With this, Van Losser Installation Group expands its position in the western Netherlands. All employees of M&O Techniek will continue to work within the company and the activities will be continued under their own name. The Baker Tilly Corporate Finance team assisted M&O Techniek in the sale of the company.

M&O Techniek: 'Professionalizing and expanding'

In 1955, the installation technology company Meijns was founded. The business was handed down from father to son and by now the third generation of Meijns is at the helm. In 1997, the company merged with Ofman Installatietechniek, after which it continued under the name M&O Techniek. Meanwhile, there are over 50 employees.

M&O Techniek, based in Wormer, has focused on residential and commercial construction in the west of the country for over 66 years. Previously, the activities mainly involved central heating work. Meanwhile, the primary focus is on making real estate more sustainable and gas-free. The company is a total installer in sustainable solutions, think of installing heat pump systems and climate systems but also bathrooms.

With an eye on the future and continuity of the family business, M&O Techniek carefully considered this next step. Van Losser Installation Group proved to be the appropriate party, which is also characterized by a family culture. Now that M&O Techniek is part of a larger collective, it can further professionalize and expand its activities. The acquisition is therefore expected to make a positive contribution to the continuity of the business and employment in the Zaan region. In addition to the installation company, Baderie M&O Techniek has also become part of the van Losser Installation Group.

Acquisition by Van Losser Installation Group

In 1971, van Losser Installatiegroep, based in Rijssen, was founded and in the meantime the family business has grown into a company with approximately 500 employees. This rapid growth was mainly achieved through a dozen acquisitions, all within the electrical and installation engineering sector. This has enabled the company to grow into a specialist in all facets within its segment. Van Losser Installation Group serves various customers, both private and business. These include construction companies, municipal institutions, consultancies, government agencies and housing corporations. Van Losser Installation Group has its own Prefab and underfloor heating factory, which all its branches use. With the takeover of M&O Techniek, the company can further expand in the west of the Netherlands.
