Baker Tilly assists and advises Zonel Energy

Effective April 28, 2021, Joulz has acquired Dutch solar energy systems provider Zonel Energy. Zonel Energy was assisted in the sale process by Baker Tilly's Corporate Finance team.

Zonel Energy has been committed to making the environment more sustainable since 2010 by supplying and installing solar energy systems. Zonel Energy offers total solutions for solar roofs and solar parks with which entrepreneurs can save on energy costs and achieve efficiency. Zonel Energy also advises on subsidy applications, financing, insurance, design and technology. The acquisition by Joulz gives Zonel Energy's customers the opportunity to be assisted for their complete energy infrastructure in addition to solar energy with Joulz's products and services.

Joulz

Joulz is a network maintenance company and provides infrastructure services, metering services and charging solutions. In 2019, Joulz was bought by British investment company 3i Infrastructure. As part of 3i, this is Joulz's second acquisition in the Dutch market. In 2020, Joulz acquired the Dutch arm of charging station operator Greenflux. With the acquisition of Zonel Energy, Joulz strengthens its strategic position in the field of energy infrastructures.

During the acquisition process, Zonel Energy was assisted by Baker Tilly's Corporate Finance team. Lorijn van Leersum and Jardi Jansma assisted Zonel Energy's shareholders and management in the acquisition process from valuation to negotiation and effectuation of the transaction.
