Packaging specialist Dimensio acquires industry peer The Box

Dimensio has acquired industry peer The Box in Apeldoorn. With this, Dimensio further expands its portfolio as part of its long-term growth strategy. The Box is a specialist in tin can packaging and with it Dimensio adds a sustainable product group to its product portfolio. Tony Veer will stay on as CEO of The Box and together with Dimensio continue to build on a bright future together. Dimensio has been supported in this acquisition process by Carlo Caria and Joeri Verlinden of Aeternus.

Dimensio is a rapidly growing packaging company with a strong focus on sustainability. The Box fits this theme very well because of its product range. Sustainability

The Box thus fits well within Dimensio's strategic focus on sustainability. Packaging expert within Aeternus Carlo Caria (Adviser corporate finance) confirms that sustainability is also an important topic within the acquisition world. "Similarly for Dimensio packaging, which we were able to guide in the acquisition of The Box. A purchase strategy in which sustainability was one of the main elements their ideal candidate had to satisfy. Businesses are really more aware of this.

Dimensio also opened its new logistics center in the middle of last year. The new distribution center in Almere reinforces the organization's commitment to sustainable and circular enterprise. A unique feature of this building is that it operates completely gas-free with heat pumps providing the building with heating and cooling. The reservoir of the sprinkler system is filled by rainwater collected from the roof. Also, part of the roof is equipped with 2,000 solar panels making the entire building self-sufficient.

Dimensio is fully committed to both electrification of internal transport as well as its own Euro 6 trucks. This year, for example, 12 electric vehicles have already been purchased. The premises are prepared to meet both the growth ambition and the sustainability policy for the coming years.
