Aeternus - Protomation

Description

On July 18, the acquisition of IT business Protomation to innovation and licensing company Stamicarbon, part of Italy's listed Maire Tecnimont Group, was completed. Aeternus accompanied Protomation's shareholders in the sale process.

Protomation is a Dutch specialized IT business focused on developing software applications and state-of-the-art operator training simulators (OTS) for the chemical process industry, with an extensive track record of working with fertilizer producers.

Stamicarbon has partnered with Protomation for more than a decade in developing software packages and OTS for urea plants.

Since its founding in 1999, Protomation has become a world player in the field of software development of Operator Training Simulation ("OTS"), software for the oil gas and chemical process industry. Protomation's high level of technical knowledge and the many years of intensive cooperation between Stamicarbon and Protomation have resulted in this acquisition.

By bringing in-house knowledge of the latest and most up to date software developments within the market, Stamicarbon, part of the Italian listed Maire Tecnimont Group, strengthens its future proposition.
