As of June 24, 2019, Krone Commercial Vehicle Group has acquired 100% of the shares of Knapen Group, together with its subsidiaries Knapen Trailers BV, Knapen Service BV and Trailned BV. Aeternus accompanied Knapen Group on the sales side in this process.

As European market leader in moving floor trailers, Knapen Trailers becomes part of one of the leading European trailer manufacturers and a global player in agricultural machinery. This means a powerful starting position for future opportunities in both sectors. The transaction is subject to approval by the competition authorities.

The idea behind the takeover is to join forces in two strong disciplines: Krone's expertise in standard trailers and Knapen's customer-oriented custom approach. The ultimate goal is to offer the absolute best products and services for European road transport customers.
