Entertainment concept (axe throwing)

The company is a hospitality business with axe throwing as its core activity. The concept was operational from 2021 to 2023 and was located in Scheveningen at the time. The BV is currently dormant, as the location has closed and a relaunch at another location failed.

Business Activities
The organization offers bee throwing as a recreational activity, with on-course supervision being part of the offer. The concept can be combined with food and snacks, allowing it to function as a total concept for an evening out.

Customers and market.
The company targets the consumer market (night out) and groups, such as bachelor parties. In addition, the concept is suitable for the business market, especially company outings and team building activities.

Details
Bijlwerpen has been widely developed in North America, while the number of locations in the Netherlands is limited. This leaves room for expansion and further roll-out of the concept.

Strengths
The activity of axe throwing has a relatively high margin. The main cost items are axes, wood for the targets and personnel costs for guidance. A job is also relatively easy to set up for limited investment.

The organization/location.
The limited liability company is owned by two holding companies, each owning 50% of the shares. The owners of these holding companies make up a couple. The company previously had a physical location in Scheveningen; a new suitable location is required for relaunch.

Opportunities
Since closing, there are still regular calls asking when the business will reopen, indicating present brand awareness and demand. An easily findable website is available upon acquisition. If the buyer has a suitable location, the current owners can assist in restarting and refurbishing if desired.

Other information.
Loans from the BV to the owners are being written off. No outstanding debts are outstanding.
