Euro-Rijn Group, based in Moerdijk, was already a leading logistics service provider with revenues of over 200 million.
With an annual turnover of over 70 million, Danser Group is one of the largest players in container transport in Europe. Danser Group's fleet includes eight of its own inland barges (four under the Dutch flag and four under the Swiss flag), which can form four tying links with each other. In addition, Danser Group has at its disposal a fleet of about 70 charter vessels.
With the acquisition of Danser Group approved by the ACM, Euro-Rijn Group's annual turnover grows to the level of nearly 300 million. Danser Group's services are a strategically important addition to the services of Euro-Rijn Logistics Holding, the holding company under which the group's logistics activities fall. This strategic move of Euro-Rijn Group marks a next step to further strengthen its position in the inland shipping sector.
The former shareholders of Danser Group return as shareholders and in the daily management team of the company. Together with Euro-Rijn Group, they will put their shoulders to the business and will further develop the strategic cooperation with Euro-Rijn Group.
Tom van Dijk, Nathalie van Hellenberg Hubar, Jorin Hagendoorn and Imbert van Weverwijk assisted Euro-Rijn Group in this transaction. Matthijs van der Laarse advised Euro-Rijn Group in connection with the ACM notification.
