DVAN Advocaten has successfully guided the legal merger between Coöperatieve Zuidelijke Aan- en Verkoopvereniging U.A. (CZAV) and Coöperatieve Aan- en Verkoopvereniging 'de Wieringermeer' U.A. (CAV de Wieringermeer).
Completed on May 17, 2024, the strategic merger marks an important step in strengthening the agricultural sector in the Netherlands, with broader coverage and improved services for members of both cooperatives.
CZAV is an agricultural cooperative that has supported farmers and market gardeners in Zeeland, North Brabant and South Holland since 1929. CZAV offers a wide range of products and services, including crop protection, fertilizers, seeds, and agricultural advice. CAV De Wieringermeer is an agricultural cooperative in North Holland, founded in 1954 and also focuses on providing agricultural advice and support to optimize the business operations of its members and supplying seeds, fertilizers and crop protection products.
The merger cooperative will continue under the name FarmPlus. FarmPlus is a cooperative that operates throughout the country in a rapidly changing sector. Through this joining of forces, FarmPlus wants to play a leading role in terms of advice and supply, and be active as a powerful chain partner in the collection and sale of agricultural products.
