ABZ animal feed acquires Bosgoed animal feed

ABZ diervoeding has acquired all the shares in Bosgoed Diervoeders B.V. of Wilp-Achterhoek. The joining of forces creates an organization of over 750,000 tons of animal feeds with a significant market share in all livestock sectors and all regions of the Netherlands.

'We believe in the power of a regional approach,' says ABZ Animal Nutrition director Marcel Roordink in an interview with AGRI HOLLAND. 'The acquisition of Bosgoed Diervoeders reinforces this strategy and fits well with our mission: the best nearby. We have modern, well-equipped production sites in all important regions. Bosgoed Diervoeders was looking for a partner who could give substance to the further professionalization of the organization and provide continuity for its employees and its current and future customers. Bosgoed's operating area is a logical addition to the regions where ABZ Diervoeding is already active.

The production site of Bosgoed Diervoeders is strategically located in Wilp-Achterhoek, directly on the A1 freeway and centrally in the city triangle of Apeldoorn, Zutphen and Deventer. ABZ Diervoeding has production locations in Nijkerk, Eindhoven, Haastrecht, Stroobos, Markelo and Leusden.

Bosgoed diervoeders is strong in pig, dairy and goat feeds. By joining forces, the service to livestock farmers can be further expanded. Besides the synergy benefits, not much will change as a result of the acquisition. For example, Bosgoed Diervoeders B.V. will initially continue under its own name. All familiar points of contact, including owner Rick Bosgoed, will remain available to customers. The starting point is and will remain the delivery of the most suitable feed with a maximum return for the customers. Naturally, the specialists of both organizations will exchange knowledge, expertise and products, making them immediately available to the customers of both organizations.
